The AMERICAN FREEDOM SPORTS CLUB, a youth sports organization based in Dallas/Fort Worth, has added five baseball and 20 softball teams for the upcoming spring seasons.

The American Freedom was founded in 2006 and has grown to become one of the largest youth baseball and softball sports clubs in the country with 80+ teams in nine states. The program is nationally recognized as a leader in helping its players get recruited to compete at the college level.

“American Freedom was founded on the ideal of being a national organization with coaches and athletes who are committed to the philosophy of developing themselves to the best of their abilities on and off the playing fields and to compete at the highest levels against quality competition,” said organizational founder Tim Soefje.

“With the addition of baseball and the growth of our softball program, we hope to continue to offer the best opportunities for athletes across the country,” Soefje said. “I am excited to see the American Freedom brand continue to grow and our teams compete this spring and summer.”

American Freedom Baseball became a reality in January under the direction of national director Aaron Westlake. Westlake joins the American Freedom after a standout career with Vanderbilt University’s baseball program and a stint in minor league baseball.

The American Freedom has added five quality teams in the DFW Region.  Taking to the diamond this spring will be 13U Majors AF Browne, coached by Jerry Browne; 12U AAA AF Anholt, coached by Ryan Anholt; 11U AA AF Negron and 10U Majors AF Negron, coached by Roberto Negron; and, 10U Majors AF Hill, coached by Ryan Hill.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to represent the American Freedom brand with the addition of our baseball teams,” states Westlake.

“Our goal as an organization is to give our kids the best opportunity to develop; not only as athletes, but also as young men. Our coaches and players are excited to finally be able to showcase on the field all the hard work and development they have been putting in during the off-season. We look forward to an exciting 2019 season.”

On the softball side, American Freedom has added 20 teams across the country.

“This is an exciting time for American Freedom Softball,” said American Freedom national director Kevin Blaskowski.  “We are very fortunate to add 19 quality teams to our organization.  We look forward to seeing these players and coaches develop into solid teams that will represent our organization in a positive way and compete on the field.”
